Alshemeili: UAE will overcome all challenges and emerge stronger than ever

In an interview, UAE Ambassador to Montenegro Khamis Rashed Ahmed Lebsaili Alshemeili said the United Arab Emirates strongly condemns Iran’s missile and drone attacks, describing them as unjustified and a violation of international law and national sovereignty. He said more than 1,400 projectiles and drones were launched, but the UAE’s air defence systems intercepted the vast majority. Alshemeili stressed that the UAE does not seek escalation and continues to prioritise de-escalation, diplomacy, and regional stability, while reserving the right to defend its territory and citizens under international law. He warned that attacks on neighbouring Gulf countries threaten the security of the entire region. Despite the attacks, the ambassador said the security situation in the UAE remains stable, daily life and key services continue normally, and the tourism and economic sectors are functioning without major disruption. He also called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to condemn the attacks and help prevent further escalation in the region. The UAE, he added, is confident it will overcome the challenges and emerge stronger than before.
