Fuel prices at petrol stations across Montenegro surged significantly – the cost of both types of petrol rose by seven cents, while the price of diesel jumped by as much as 16 cents per liter. The government says there’s no reason for panic, adding that the market remains stable despite the price hike driven by global developments in the oil market following the Middle East conflict. The Montenegrin Ministry of Energy and Mining has stated that as of midnight, a liter of Eurosuper 98 costs €1.50, which is by seven cents higher than before. The price of Eurosuper 95 has increased by the same amount, bringing its price to €1.47 per liter. The largest increase was seen for diesel, now hitting €1.50 per liter. The price of heating oil is by 15 cents higher, now standing at €1.42 per liter. The Ministry has added the next calculation will be published on 23 March.
