Man from Bijelo Polje arrested for threatening Milan Knezevic and his family

Montenegro’s Police Administration stated it had swiftly identified and arrested A.A. from Bijelo Polje, suspected of making death threats by phone against MP Milan Knezevic and members of his family. According to police, an unidentified caller contacted the duty service of the Bijelo Polje police, threatening the life and physical safety of Knezevic, his family and their residence. “In response to the incident, urgent and comprehensive measures were taken both in the field and operationally, resulting in the rapid identification of the suspect — A.A. from Bijelo Polje — who was arrested on the order of the prosecutor of the Bijelo Polje Basic State Prosecutor’s Office, who classified the offence as endangering security,” the police said. Police stressed it would continue to respond decisively and without delay to all forms of threats, acting impartially and with full professional integrity.
