The 2025 average salary amounted to EUR 1.012

In 2025, the average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €1.012, while the average gross salary was €1.206, according to data released by the Statistical Office of Montenegro, MONSTAT. Pay rise, combined with a 3.9% inflation, resulted in a real year-on-year 11.2% increase in earnings. MONSTAT said that in December 2025, the average gross salary amounted to €1.220, while the average net salary – excluding taxes and contributions – was €1.022. Compared to November, net salaries rose to 0.4%, and were by 1% higher compared to December last year. “Given that consumer prices in December fell by 0.3% compared to November, real salaries increased by 0.7% on a monthly basis,” MONSTAT has said.
