Vuksanovic: Tivat–Jaz Blvd expected to be paved before start of peak season

Director of the Transport Administration Radomir Vuksanovic said the Tivat–Jaz boulevard, the largest current road project in Montenegro, is expected to be paved before the summer tourist season, which should significantly ease traffic along the coast. He noted that infrastructure works worth over €150m are underway nationwide, covering the construction and reconstruction of major and regional roads, bridges, and landslide repairs, alongside projects to improve traffic safety. While most projects are on schedule, the Tivat–Jaz project has seen delays due to its complexity, including utility relocations. Vuksanovic added that ongoing and planned investments focus on better connectivity—especially between the north and south—preparing roads for increased seasonal traffic, improving safety through upgrades and signalization, and aligning Montenegro’s transport network with EU standards to support tourism, economic development, and regional mobility.
